Just a couple of pictures from the past week. I went back to work so we didn't do too much and there aren't very many pictures. We headed to the park on Tuesday and met Kristin with her three cute kiddos. I didn't get any pics of her boys or Kaylee....I was slacking. It was great to see them and to catch up for a bit, we don't see each other near enough! Thanks for meeting us Kristin!
Emma has been practicing her climbing skills lately. She was only able to go up about half the slide.
Poor short legs....she tried and tried, but couldn't quite do it, I gave her a hand. Her legs are just to darn short!
Her is Miss Autumn--Kristin's youngest...isn't she a cutie.
This week we had another big event. On Saturday Kaylee and I headed out to see Courtney (Kaylee's birth mother). We have not seen her since the birth. It was a good visit and I'm glad Courtney got to meet Kaylee (and Kaylee Courtney---though I don't think she'll remember, but we have pics). Also this week Courtney had her court date for termination of parental rights to Kaylee and that just means that now finalization can happen on our end. Courtney has been wonderful (and very strong) through all of this. We could not have asked for a better birthmother! (Thanks for the greatest gift ever, Courtney!--and please keep visiting the blog!)
More Kaylee news....she's only been crawling for about a month, but is pulling up and standing and even letting go for a few seconds. She is determined to move like her big sis I think!

Preganany Update

So....a little late to put a pregnancy ticker on the blog! I thought this way the few friends and family that check in with us can see that we are down to the last weeks. I meant to do it a lot sooner, but just didn't! Things are still going well with this little one. No name yet (though I think we are getting closer). She moves around A LOT! And at my latest appointment my blood pressure was 122/77....hooray for me!!! This is the best it has been (maybe because I haven't been working???). We'll see. Work starts again this Wednesday. Anyway, I am going in every two weeks now to get checked and I have to monitor my blood pressure between visits as well. No swelling yet...which is great. By this time with Emma I couldn't wear any of my shoes or my rings. No picture this time but I will do at least one more in the coming weeks so I have a record of it.

A Little Bit of Everything

We have been keeping busy around here. There are a lot of pictures again. See this is what happens when I don't blog as often. Anyway, we've been busy hanging out here at home a lot and we have been going a few places as well. Enjoy!
Emma is still loving her stroller. She will push her babies...and whatever else in it and race as fast as she can around the island in the kitchen. Notice she loves wearing my shoes also.
So now that Kaylee can crawl she is EVERYWHERE!!!! Emma has taught Kaylee all about the cupboards, what are big sisters for right? So I have two little ones who love to get into the cupboards and pull everything out. I'm only complaining a little because this keeps them both happy and entertained while I clean up the kitchen or cook.
Not sure what happen to the picture here, but they were both looking at me so I wanted to include it. They are so fun in the bath now that Kaylee can sit up and be somewhat independent. I think Emma is starting to like that her sister can play a little with her now (and also realizing she has to share everything with her as well--which we are still learning about).
Guess Who?!?!?!?
Emma's new thing is to take the containers out of the cupboard and then climb in herself! Funny girl!
My brother came into town again. Though it was a quick visit we enjoyed the day at the Aurora Reservoir with him and his family. Emma had a lot of fun. Kaylee slept through part of our day, but I think she enjoyed herself as well!
Building sand castles with Uncle Jeremy and cousin Hope.
We played in the water quite a bit also. It was very refreshing after being in this hot weather. Emma loved it and me and my pregnant self didn't mind it either!
Kaylee sportin' Hope's hat.
We went to Belleview Park and spent a few hours there with Nana and Buck. This is a great park with a little stream that you can wade and play in, a train to ride, and a little petting zoo. It was a lot of fun, though Emma did not have a morning nap so she was a bit clingy to me. I only got a few pictures because it was difficult with her. We will have to go back again when we are a bit more rested!
So glad Nana and Buck could join us. They took care of Kaylee for me while I was with Emma.
We got a special present from Anita (my now retired teammate from school) yesterday; a doll house! This was a great surprise. It is so neat, all wood and all the pieces that go with it. Emma loves it! And I guess Kaylee does as well---she likes to chew on the pieces. Emma is very cute with it though. She puts the people in bed, in their chairs, in the bathtub etc.
You can also climb in yourself!
I will leave you with a short video clip of the Emma making Kaylee giggle! Good times around here! Thanks for visiting!

BEWARE---lots of pics!

Daddy has been home so we have been busy around here. We have spent time at The Wildlife Experience, the park, playing in our baby pool, going camping, celebrating the 4th, going on a boat for the first time, and just enjoying time together. There are lots of pics...enjoy!
Emma was not too sure of the big stuffed moose at the Wildlife Experience
She liked the bugs in the case....that was at the perfect level for her to see.
Kaylee enjoyed the "crawlers" area.
Breakfast time!
Helping Mommy cook
Playing with Daddy--notice he's laying on the couch playing!
Hmmmmm...I wonder????
Playing footsies
Time at the park...on a very warm day I might add!
Much needed break in the shade
We LOVE to swing, I'm pretty sure we were here most of the time.
An attempt at a family picture--not too bad.
It was Susan and Jack's turn to come to our house. We enjoyed the baby pool and playing outside.
Love him!
Love where Josh is holding the bottle
Then we headed up camping in Taylor park--near Crested Butte and Gunnison. We got to stay in my parent's RV---really roughing it!
Roasting marshmellows for the first time. Didn't really care about the roasting, just wanted to eat the marshmellow!
Swinging again in Crested Butte before dinner.
We enjoyed the 4th of July parade in Crested Butte---interesting parade, but fun!
Josh up front trying to help Emma get treats.
The cousins: Ashton, Katy, Robbie, and Aiden
Really Kaylee was happy and enjoying herself. She has a little duck in her hand, that was her treat from the parade that kept her busy during the whole thing.
After the parade and nap time we headed to Taylor Resevoir to play and throw rocks in the water.
WHOOPS! She fell in...but she did not care!
First time on a boat. Papa even let Emma drive! She wasn't scared at all!
Kaylee was there too. She fell asleep to the lull of the motor.
Up in the very front where it is very windy
That's all folks! Hope you made it through all that!
