Stock Show Fun!

We headed out to the stock show for some fun. We started the day at the petting zoo and then walked around. We finished with the rodeo. What a fun day and the girls had a blast!

Not sure what she is pointing at!

IMPOSSIBLE to get all three of them to smile and look at me!
 Potato Heads!

Having some lunch before the rodeo starts

Look who fell asleep for the second half of the rodeo...I have no idea how...it was so loud!

Around Here

Some random pics from around here...fun times we have!

They are loving doing crafts lately!

The Rainbow Bridge

About a week before Christmas we had to say goodbye to our Cassie-girl.  WOW....this was the hardest thing we have ever had to do.  She was about 16 years old and Josh and I have had her since before we were married. She was the best dog and such a faithful companion, we will always love and miss you Cassie!
About a week after we put her down we got a sweet card from our vet with this touching story in it.   I loved it so much I wanted to put it here.

The Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When a beloved pet dies, it goes to the Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends. There is sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again - just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content - except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them. They all run and play together; but the day comes when one suddenly stop sand looks in to the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion never to be parted again. They happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of you pet so long gone from you life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...

Some goodbye kisses for our girl.

You will always be in our hearts Cassie! Now you are in a pain-free place where you can run and play!

Merry Christmas!

For Christmas Eve the girls opened their one gift and got fairy wings.  After spending time at my brother's house we came home and put out the food for the reindeer and headed to bed.
Santa Came!!!

I got a "mom" necklace from Josh. It has a thumbprint from each of the girls, their birthstones, and a charm that says "God's Gifts".  Josh kept it a secret and put this all together with my friend Kasey.  He had to get their thumbprints in a mold and then send them to the lady who made the necklace and then she used that as a mold for the metal. It is neat and unique.

After we had Christmas with our little family and my brother Jeremy's family the rest of the family came over. We had a full house with 30 people!

As if Christmas itself is not enough...we had Kathy over too (for dinner) and she did a photo shoot for everyone.  My mom really wanted a photo of all of her kids and grandchildren.
