4 Months Old!

Emma is 4 months old! (well 4 months-2 days....to be exact!). She had her well-baby visit on Monday and got shots again, she was a trooper and did great! She weighs 14 lbs. 10 oz. (74%), her height is 23.75 in. (31%) and her head is 16.5 in. (76%). What else???? Emma is now sleeping in her crib at night and for naps. She giggled for the first time last Friday, that was great! She is a champ at eating (obviously--look at her weight!). The doctor said that as long as she is doing so well with breastfeeding to put off introducing solids until 6 months (I have some friends who did 4 months...), so that is something to look forward to. For now she is a happy and thriving baby! And a cutie!
I put this one in here in honor of Emma sleeping in her "big girl bed"---in her own room!

Snow, Snow....and More Snow!

So it started snowing late Thursday night and it is still snowing.....as I type this, mid-afternoon on Saturday. We have about 2 1/2 feet of snow, much more in the drifts! We decided to take Emma out to experience her first snow (this lasted for about 10 min!).
Here we are all bundled up and ready to go:
Hard to tell here, but the snow is up to my knees--we are standing in the garage still. If Emma could stand the snow would be above her head!
This one is funny.....Tucker is trying to make his way back to the front door...all you can see are his ears flapping and his head!
Josh did get some snowmobiling in with cousin John! A little snow blowing in front of the garage, but the tractor will have to be used for the rest of the driveway!
Josh's truck and trailer getting buried in the snow....OK so we would need SEVERAL more feet for it to be buried!

New Blog Name

So I changed the photo for the blog again....as well as the name. I never really like "World of Warner" it was just one I came up with playing off of the "W" of our last name. But since this is all about Emma.....for the time being I thought "Emma's World" was a better fit....maybe I'm just bored????? Enjoy!

3 month Photo Shoot

Below you will see a slide show of the photos from Emma's 3 month shoot. Kathy did such a wonderful job. If anyone out there needs a photographer for family pics, wedding pics, or whatever she does great pictures and she is reasonably priced. So Enjoy!

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny came and visited Emma and left her her first Easter basket. The Easter Bunny knows her well, he left a soft and cuddly bunny, some ducks that light up that she can play with in the bath and also some soft blocks for the bath, and a counting book (he must know I'm a teacher!).
We then headed out to church in the snow (wish I had taken a picture, we got like 5-6 inches). After church we went to my brother's house for an Easter egg hunt and an early dinner--which again I slacked on the picture taking.

Daddy's Home!

After being gone several weeks daddy is home to spend some much needed time with his little girl (and his wife!). Here is Emma's favorite spot--all snugly in her daddy's arms. Friday we started the day going out to breakfast after that we ran some errands and then made a surprise visit to see Nana Pamela at work. Nana was so happy to see Emma and to show her granddaughter off to all of her students.
Here's some play time with daddy!
Later Friday night we went out with Emma's boyfriend Jack--he's a younger man (by a whole four days!) and his mom and dad. We had fun at dinner and both babies behaved themselves. O

Coughs and Runny Noses

So this week Emma got her first official cold. Well, she got it last week on Thursday and still has it, so we are going to the doctor's office tomorrow. It is so hard to decide whether to take her to the Dr or not. She has only a slight fever (between 99-100) and not all the time... BUT---she's had a bad cough for a week now so I made a "mommy decision" and I am taking her in tomorrow morning, just to make sure that everything is OK. She is happy when she is rested between her eight naps a day (she's sleeping A LOT!)

Here are some videos of her playing (after having some good sleep!). She is "talking" more and more, I love watching and listening to her! Enjoy!

Sleeping Cuties!

Just a quick note........so it is snowing again today. Emma, the dogs, and me are snowed in wishing daddy was here with us! Here is what everyone (but me!) has been doing today:
Aren't they all so cute? Bye for today!

Daycare!

So, this was Emma's first FULL week at daycare. The week didn't start off too good! Emma did not want to sleep at Kendra's house. She would fight sleep and then if she did fall asleep it would only be for 20 minutes or so. So, by the time I got there after school both Kendra and Emma looked tired and frazzled! One of the boys said "I don't want to hear Baby Emma cry any more", so sweet. My heart broke for Emma.....what a horrible day she must have had and her mommy wasn't there to make it all better. The good news is--she did MUCH better on Wednesday and Thursday. After Kendra and I chatted a bit about what I do here at home...things were much better and I think Emma is familiar with Kendra and her house now (which might have been part of the problem also). I decided to bring up the high chair from the basement the other day (not that Emma is in there to eat!), but it reclines back so she can sit in there comfortably and so she can be in the kitchen with me as I clean and make my dinner. I thought these were cute:
Another toy from the basement--the Johnny Jump Up! I am not sure how she feels about it yet. She will move her feet and make herself move, but I don't think she know really what she is doing. I have to put a blanket in front because her "core" still isn't quite strong enough, but it is fun to swing her and usually she laughs and smiles, but she looks very serious here.
I have had better pictures (I guess it's not too bad, but I am always critical of myself, but who isn't?), but I love the deer-caught-in-headlights look here that Emma has!
Tomorrow we are getting 3 month pictures with Kathy again. This time we are going to go to her house. It is so nice to do pictures in an environment like that. It seems more relaxed and there is no rush to try to get them done quickly so the next appointment can be done.
