Weekly Update

Third week back to work down....only 5 to go until I track off! Sad that I am counting down already! Actually work has been fine, I just hate to be away from Emma and Kaylee, but Sydney is doing great with the girls and it is sooooo nice that she comes here to the house. It makes my life much easier and they can sleep and I don't have to wake them if they are not up by the time I leave (and Kaylee loves to sleep in....Emma is up about half the time before I leave--which I do love cause I can get some hugs and kisses in before I have to leave).
Josh had been home for about two weeks, which was so nice, but he went back to work on Tuesday for a couple weeks so that means I'm flying solo again! Here are a few pics--nothing too exciting.... SO...Emma loves to take her toys, any toy, and to sit on it. So this is an Aquadoodle thing that she made into her "seat".Kaylee has been slowly getting better at playing on the floor and not being held. So these are when she was on the floor mat thingy.
Then along comes Emma and decides she would like to join in the fun.....

Happy 2 Months Kaylee!!!!

Kaylee is 2 months old today!!!! We can't believe it!
So this week has been great....since Sunday night she has been sleeping in her room. I decided Sunday night to try it (since I didn't work Monday), I figured she would do the first part of the night in there and then be in our room after that....but no she stayed in their all night! AND---she slept on average for 6-7 hours before getting up to eat! HOORAY!!! More sleep for me!
We went to Kaylee's 2 month appointment. she weighs 11 pounds and is 22 inches long. She is doing very well and was a champ through her first set of shots. She cried through most of her appointment (she hates people poking and proding!), but then she slept the WHOLE day away....I guess the morning just took it out of her! Later on we headed to the mall and met Jamie and Essence for a little lunch and play time in the mall play area.
The rest of the week was pretty uneventful...work, work, and more work! Thursday night I had Bible study for this new study we are doing. I am hosting here at our house so I don't have to get a babysitter. Josh was home this week so he took care of Kaylee and Emma was already in bed, so it worked out perfectly! The ladies in my group are so supportive!
Some cute pics from this week:

I went back to work this week. It wasn't too bad! My second graders are great this year and were happy to see me, and I was happy to see them also. They are so cute, they always want to know all about Emma and Kaylee. One day this week as they were leaving to go home one little boy said, "Tell Emma I said hi!"---So cute! This is why I love teaching! I am having a student teacher for the rest of this school year so it will be nice having another body in the room. She seems really nice and sweet, so it should hopefully go well....I just pray she can get some sort of job after she graduates!
On to family stuff. Josh has been home most of the week so that is always great, it makes the evenings with the girls so much easier! I would love to be a stay at home mom....but only if Josh had a normal job where he didn't travel, otherwise....I think I might go nuts being with the kiddos (as much as I love and adore them!) 24-7!!!! My job makes it easy to balance having a family and still being there for them!We started our weekend going up to Greeley to see Shelbi and Don. Shelbi is such a wonderful friend (wished she lived closer!) and of course I love Don as well. We did lunch at their house and just hung out. It was nice to get out of the house for the afternoon.
On our way home we stopped to get work pants for Josh and we went out to eat for the first time with BOTH girls. It was a buffet restaurant... nothing to be excited over, but it fed us...and quickly!
Bath time for Kaylee!
These are her first bath shots because usually I am here alone and it is hard to take pics and do the bath! This pic is actually after the bath and all cleaned up! (a little out of order!)
Grandpa has been here the past few days
So tomorrow I hope we can make it to church. I didn't make it last week because I was flying solo and Emma was super tired and grumpy, so hopefully we make it! (now it is Sunday....we made it to church!) So Emma "graduated" out of the nursery into the room with the walkers, she did great and loved playing with the other kids. In the nursery she was the oldest, so a little boring to her I think because the little babies don't do anything. We also decided to take Kaylee into the nursery for the first time. She did great as well, she was held the whole time, there were two ladies and only two babies!
After church we stayed around the house. I headed to Walmart (all by myself!). Nana came over to visit and play with the girls. Josh was working outside so it was so nice having her here so I could still do laundry and make dinner and stuff...Thanks for coming over Nana and thanks for taking pics of me with my girls!
That's all! Tomorrow we head to Kaylee's 2 month checkup! We can't even believe she is 2 month already!

Quick Update

I go back to work tomorrow....YUCK! This is a quick track-on though, so I guess I shouldn't complain. I am just having so much fun at home with these two little princesses.
Emma is running around and so fun! She is so busy and loves her toys and whatever else she can get her hands on. Three top teeth (that she's been working on for a while now) have finally broke the skin, but I still think some more are not far behind. The last few days she has had a bad diaper rash so she spent an hour today without her diaper and she thought that was pretty great!
Kaylee is less and less fussy as the days go...I think she is finally enjoying the "outside world"---don't get me wrong, she still wants to be held and snuggled most of the time, but she is sitting more and more in her bouncy, swing, on the floor---when she is awake and as long as Emma and I are not too far away. She has also been taking naps in her bedroom. The best so far has been about 45 minutes---but we got to start somewhere! She loves white noise. As I am typing this, she is in her bouncy seat and I have the vacuum on!
This morning I finally got the camera back out for a few quick pics. This was right after breakfast (Yes---Kaylee is on the CLEAN kitchen floor on a nice thick blanket). Remember she has to be able to see us! After Emma was finished eating she joined her for some quick loves. She loves her baby sister, it is so cute! That's it for now---both girls are napping at the SAME time so I am going to quickly do a few things before the fun begins again!

Christmas and Kaylee

Nona and Papa

Right now my parents are "residents" of Texas, so they flew in for a week for Christmas. They spent their first couple of days with us. It was great having them here. So nice to have some more hands available for some baby holding! I finally got some Christmas treats made!
Go Big Red!
Thanks for staying with us mom and dad, we loved having you here!

New Year's Day Christmas

We had Christmas with my family over at Scott and Maile's house. I got a few pics, but I slacked on the picture taking!
Present time....Katy is missing because was sick and at the emergency room with Maile---she had a temp of 103.6---YIKES! She is all good now though!
Kaylee was there also....see her???? She spent most of the day sleeping!

A visit with Great Grandma

Josh's Grandma was in town for a little while so we spent some time visiting with her. Her memory is not there anymore.....so we have to introduce the girls and me to her every time we see her.
After visiting...sooo tired!
This is when we got home, gotta love the hair!
