It's already Friday of my first week off....YIKES that means only two weeks left! I guess I shouldn't be counting down already, but man times flies when I'm not working! This week we have been pretty busy. I have caught up on laundry, cleaning, making baby food, and putting outgrown clothes away and replacing them with the next batch. We have had some fun as well though. On Sunday, after church we headed up North to see our friends Susan, Matt, and Jack. We hadn't seen Jack in a couple of months so it was fun to see how big he's gotten and boy does he have a head full of hair! He is so cute! We had a wonderful lunch and a great time visiting.
After a busy morning playing and a nice, relaxing walk!
(she stayed asleep like that for almost 2 hours!)
We went to Little Monkey Business on Wednesday with my friend Casey and her little ones. Abby is only 6 weeks younger than Emma...but I forgot my camera that day! Emma had fun though and wore herself out. We will definitely be going back. On Thursday morning we went and saw my other friend Kasey, who nannies for triplets. The triplets are a little younger than Emma, I know they were born in November sometime. Again....forgot to take any pics. Kasey had hers though so maybe I can get pics from her later.
Emma loves these new little balls she has from a toy we picked up from a garage sale, she will play with them for hours (well OK like 15 min--but hours to an 8 month old!)
Having some cantaloupe
Also this week we tried out a babysitter (that isn't family) for the first time. I put an ad on Care.com to find someone (FYI--this is a great site, people are screened and have background checks and references!). So, Tuesday we met Leigh Ann and I ran to Walmart (I was only gone for an hour!), just to see how it would go. Emma did fine (didn't go to bed...but that didn't surprise me!). On Thursday I started a women's Bible study so I had Josh's sister Anna come over. Again, bedtime was a bit rough, but Anna got Emma to sleep by 8:00. Emma needs to learn that it is OK to go to sleep without her mommy! This morning we met Amber. She is super sweet and Emma loved her as well! So, I have two babysitters (and of course family)! And they live out here in this area! YEA! This makes being a "single mom" much easier.
Today we are going to Scott's and Maile's house to celebrate Scott's 40th birthday! WOW who knew I could have a brother who is 40?!?!? (that means I will be 32 in a few months, yikes!)
That about wraps things up for now, until next time!
