Happy Thanksgiving!

So for Thanksgiving this year we decided to pack the girls up and go visit my sister Nancy and her family in Idaho. It was a relatively easy 10 hour trip (we split the trip up into two chunks).
Here are our wonderful hosts! Steve, Logan, Nancy, and Austin.
We relaxed and just hung out together for a couple days. The girls loved them and the boys were great with our girls. Nancy made our stay so nice. She had beds set up for the girls and bought them new jammies, which they wore the whole time we were there.
The weather was wonderful while we were there so we enjoyed some time outside. Austin and Logan have a trampoline and Emma loved it! Kaylee...not so much!
Kaylee did try it once though....that was enough for her!
We played...
We relaxed...
...and of course ATE!
When got home on the Saturday after so we hosted another Thanksgiving here at our house on Sunday. We had a nice little get-together with some family and friends. We ate everything...except all the pie...I think we had 12 of them! Didn't do too well with pics that day. Just a couple of the girls.

Kaylee turns the big 2!

A few weeks we celebrated our little Kaylee-Bug! She has been in our lives for two years now and we are so thankful for her and how she came into our lives.
We will be forever grateful to Courtney and her selfless gift.
We had several friends and family over for a Dora inspired celebration! She loves Dora....but really LOVES Swiper the Fox, but hard to find stuff for a "swiper" party.
What a girl Kaylee is and is becoming!
Lately I have been calling her our drama queen. She has an ear-piercing scream that she does....when she is hurt, doesn't get her way, is told no, gets her feelings hurt.....basically whenever she is mad or upset about all things small or big!
But man those big brown eyes still get me and her hair is finally growing and she has the cutest ringlets! She is our snuggle-bug! She is the one who loves to sleep with us and snuggle.
Kaylee is potty-training herself. I didn't think she was ready, but I was wrong.
She is doing great!
She loves to draw and color. She loves to take care of her babies. She loves her cars and racing them on the hardwood floor.
She loves her accessories, especially hats!
Can't wait to see what year number 3 brings for you Kaylee! We love you so much!

(Below is a slide show of some pics from the party that my wonderful friend Kasey took for me since I have been missing my camera for almost 2 months....but I found it last week!!!!)

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was so much fun this year! Emma really understood what Halloween was all about and was all about dressing up and getting candy. We did several things to celebrate. We started out going to the Monster Mash that my school does to celebrate Halloween. We didn't last long. It was SUPER crowded and not a lot for little kids to do. So we hung out on the dance floor and boy does Mallory love to dance! Then we did Trick-or-Treat Street in Elizabeth the Saturday before Halloween. Jeremy, Hope and Essence helped to carve our pumpkins after that. On Halloween...the girls had a party at daycare and came home and did a bit of trick-or-treating with Daddy.
checking out the pumpkins
Emma was Cinderella
Hard to see, but Emma is showing my her cheek where her little sissy Mallory hit her with a toy.
Kaylee was a "pink princess". This is at the Monster Mash. She was more interested in her free toothbrush than eating the candy.
And Mallory was a Lady bug. Here she is sipping on a bit of milk.
Bad picture on my phone, but that is all I have! She was loving the dance floor!
And that's all! Can't wait to see what next year will be like.

Our last week of track-off fun

So the girls started a new daycare when I went back on track. Our last lady fired us! Can you believe that? It was all over a disagreement about how she was potty-training (or not...) Emma. Anyway...we are much happier at Imagination Plus and Emma (as well as the other two) are loving it! I got these backpacks for them to cart our blankies, lovies, and whatever else back and forth. The girls are not in the same room anymore so they each got their own bags. Look at Mallory modeling hers!
Here is my monkey! She loves to climb...and has no fear!
We headed to Little Monkey Bizness during the last week of track off. I just got two pics. I like this one of Emma flying down the slide and her all blurry.
more climbing
Daddy is exposing the girls early to driving!
We headed to a pumpkin farm which had some fun activities for the family. Staring with a little petting zoo. Kaylee loves her animals and she could have stayed her all day!
There were huge containers filled with kernels of corn that kids could play in.
Our first corn maze
They had a mini corn maze set up for the little kiddos.
Kaylee getting a bit frustrated.....How do I get out????
Hmmmmm which pumpkin?.....
...........this one looks good!
