Well it has been awhile......things have been crazy here. So here we are with some updates, pictures, and a few short videos of cutie-pie Emma showing off her latest tricks. So Emma is officially crawling now and has been for almost 2 weeks. She is all over the place. I'm trying to keep my floors clean and get the house baby-proofed. It is hard to keep the floor clean with 3 dogs! She hasn't been crawling too long but she is already pulling herself up on things and is getting really good at that. I don't know....it seems like she would rather be upright than crawling, maybe walking soon??? Who knows? She also almost has her second tooth. Her first 2 teeth basically came in at the same time. The first came and then within a couple of days the 2nd was starting to pop out. She has been a trooper and has handled it very well.

Auntie Anna came over Saturday and hung out with us for awhile. Anna made Emma smile and laugh a lot, see the video below.

Daddy and Emma hung out on the couch for awhile watching movies. Daddy with his margarita and nachos, and Emma with her milk and teething biscuit......life is good!

Kasey and I went to the Paris Street Market on Saturday morning at Aspen Grove and she got Emma this cute wooden rocking chair, Emma loves it! Not sure what is going on with her face and she's been doing "arms up!" a lot lately.

Enjoying the sunshine and our nice green grass. I think this was the first time she has been in the grass (without a blanket), she didn't mind it and she kept it out of her mouth!

Here are two quick videos (I think they are both like 30 sec.). The first is of her smiling and laughing and then a quick look at her new skill of crawling, though it is harder to do on the hardwood floor---she's much quicker on the carpet!

First Tooth!

Emma has her first tooth! You've been able to feel it and see the indent for over a week now, ....well in the last two days you can finally see white now! So we can say she has officially gotten her first tooth! That's about all this week...otherwise just normal every day stuff.

Her face isn't great here, but I swear she knows how to wave (or probably just imitating). She did this after I I said hi and was waving to her and it isn't the first time. Who Knows?!?!?

7 Months Old!

Our baby girl is 7 months old! (well on Monday) We waited so long for her and she has already been with us for 7 months---crazy to me! So, what is she doing now??? She is sitting up, she is scooting (just about crawling) getting everywhere she wants to be, she is eating lots of yummy solid food that mommy makes her, Getting lots of hair, sleeping great (though still up once a night to nurse), and besides that---being a cutie and SO happy!

A little snuggle time with Daddy! (I'm a bit jealous because Emma doesn't snuggle with me much any more unless it is to eat or go to sleep!)

Random Stuff

I haven't posted anything in awhile. This going back to work full-time is the pits! I feel like I don't have much time for everything any more. Work is going fine. I have nice kids this year and it seems to be a pretty easy class so that's good.....two weeks down!

I have random pictures from this week of Emma, nothing too exciting. She is doing so much now. She is almost crawling....she is so close. She can't quite figure out what to do with her arms. She has figured out her legs. She gets around regardless though! Kendra (her daycare lady) and I don't think she will crawl very long (when she finally does) because she is already trying to pull her self up on things, she wants to be on the move.

A few bath pics. I have been bathing her in the sink because it is much better on my back! I have some eating pics here too. It's very convenient.....we eat, then I strip her down and we take a bath.

Emma has been so happy lately. She has always been a happy baby, but lately she is all smiles and not much crying at all---I think she is excited about her new found mobility! She also has a tooth very close to coming in on the bottom right. When you look in the mouth you can see an indentation where it is starting to come up. She seems to be handling it well.

Almost Crawling

So I got this video on my phone today....not the best quality but that is what I had near me. I tried to get it turned around, but gave up messing with it after wasting about a half hour. So---either turn your computer sideways or your head sideways! :)

Camping

Last weekend we headed up to the mountains to go camping with my family. This was Emma's first camping trip! Her and I stayed in the RV with my parents so it was pretty rough :) I slacked on the pictures a bit....didn't really think about it I guess! Did get some pics of the fourth. Her a few from the weekend.

Hanging out with friends

On Sunday we headed out for a day at the zoo with Conner and Kelli! We went early so it wasn't too crowded and got a parking spot nice and close.

Aren't Kelli and Conner cute, I like this picture. See the hippo in the back....well Kelli and I were chatting about how whenever we've gone to the zoo the hippos are usually laying down sleeping or in the water. It was fun to see it up and walking around.

This is how Emma looked most of the morning...she was just happy to be strolling. I did take her out a couple of times so she could see some of the closer-and bigger- animals. I think mostly she just enjoyed people walking.

On Monday Jack and Susan came over to our house for our monthly get together. Last month we went there and that was when we went swimming. They live about 45 min away, but we still try to make time to see each other.....with me having to go back to work full time I'm not sure how that will work--I guess we have the weekends.

So I got this little baby pool and it was perfect for our little ones. They had fun and lasted about 25 minutes is all...but enough time to get some pics.

I have to explain this pic a bit. So Emma was laying back against the side facing Jack and Jack took her foot and decided he was going to eat it, OK maybe just taste it. Emma didn't mind. We couldn't grab the camera fast enough, so this is just after. loving the nice, warm sun
