My First Mother's Day
For my first official Mother's Day Josh and Emma treated me very nicely! I started the day with a very nice card from Josh and a beautiful plant from Emma (it was in her room when I went to get her for her first feeding). I also got some flowers for my pots and flower box in the front yard, and we got 5 trees for the front of our house---I planted the flowers and Josh took care of the trees.
After that we went to church. We went to the early service because I worked the second service in the walkers-2 yrs. room. WOW.....what an exhausting hour and 15 min! It was me with 7 little people and two middle-schoolers to help me. Josh went back home to make pull-aparts for brunch with my family---which we headed to after I was finished with church.

Trip to Idaho
We decided at the last minute (and I mean LAST minute--Wed. night and we left Thurs) to head to Idaho to see Nancy, Steve, Austin and Logan. We left Thursday after I got off of work and spent the weekend there. The drive is about 10 hours, so not too bad. We got there by noon on Friday and left on Monday morning. It was a quick fun-filled weekend!
Uncle Steve with Emma
The boys thought Emma needed some friends to play with, can you see her among all the stuffed toys?
The boys are in the middle of baseball so we went to Logan's game Friday night and Austin's game Saturday. This is us sitting trying to stay warm. Emma was bothered by the sunlight so Nancy gave her her sunglasses---what a great Aunt!
We had a wonderful time with Aunt Nancy, Uncle Steve, Austin, and Logan! Thanks for letting us stay with you and being such great hosts. We enjoyed UNO, Monopoly, Wii, baseball, Kentucky Derby party, margaritas, and great family company! Thanks!

Fun With Conner
Conner, Kelli, and Johnny came over for some dinner and some social time. Emma went to bed early, the men played Tiger Woods golf on the Wii, and Kelli and I enjoyed chatting and playing with Conner. I slacked on the picture taking....Emma was around for the early evening, but I didn't have the camera out.
The day before Kelli and I did the Cherry Creek Sneak with Emma and Conner. This is what our two angels looked liked when we got there, so peaceful, if only they had stayed that way through the walk!---I'm kidding of course they were wonderful!
Conner enjoying the ride.....though I guess he looks a bit worried here!
We had to stop for a milk break. Luckily I had brought a bottle, there really wasn't a good place to nurse! This is after some crying and fussiness. I thought Emma would sleep the whole time....Not what she had in mind...she decided to stay awake and be fussy the whole time. Conner and Emma took turns being fussy and then both fell asleep on our way home! Still had a great time and we'll have to make it a yearly tradition. We saw a couple kids in a wagon, maybe we'll have to do that next year.

Piercing Ears
So.......Josh and decided to get Emma's ears pierced. We really thought nothing of it, we wanted to get it done young so the pain is quickly forgotten (hopefully--that is what we are telling ourselves). I got mine done as a baby, so I thought this would be a good time. Though I have to be honest, as soon as we walked in the door, I was ready to turn around and leave! If Josh wasn't there with me I probably would have left.
During.....why am I doing this to my baby girl??? And look at Josh, my heart was breaking!
Right After.....and I mean right after, like 15 sec. I started making smiley faces at Emma and laughing and she started smiling, already forgotten!
Right Before
.......so innocent doesn't know what's coming. This is when I almost said STOP!

All done we all survived.....me....just barely!

4 Months Old!
Emma is 4 months old! (well 4 months-2 days....to be exact!). She had her well-baby visit on Monday and got shots again, she was a trooper and did great! She weighs 14 lbs. 10 oz. (74%), her height is 23.75 in. (31%) and her head is 16.5 in. (76%). What else???? Emma is now sleeping in her crib at night and for naps. She giggled for the first time last Friday, that was great! She is a champ at eating (obviously--look at her weight!). The doctor said that as long as she is doing so well with breastfeeding to put off introducing solids until 6 months (I have some friends who did 4 months...), so that is something to look forward to. For now she is a happy and thriving baby! And a cutie!

Snow, Snow....and More Snow!
So it started snowing late Thursday night and it is still snowing.....as I type this, mid-afternoon on Saturday. We have about 2 1/2 feet of snow, much more in the drifts! We decided to take Emma out to experience her first snow (this lasted for about 10 min!).
Hard to tell here, but the snow is up to my knees--we are standing in the garage still.
If Emma could stand the snow would be above her head!
This one is funny.....Tucker is trying to make his way back to the front door...all you can see are his ears flapping and his head!
Josh did get some snowmobiling in with cousin John!
A little snow blowing in front of the garage, but the tractor will have to be used for the rest of the driveway!
Josh's truck and trailer getting buried in the snow....OK so we would need SEVERAL more feet for it to be buried!
Here we are all bundled up and ready to go:

New Blog Name
So I changed the photo for the blog again....as well as the name. I never really like "World of Warner" it was just one I came up with playing off of the "W" of our last name. But since this is all about Emma.....for the time being I thought "Emma's World" was a better fit....maybe I'm just bored????? Enjoy!
