Belleview Park, Silo Park, and Butterfly Pavillion

So as of today....my track-off is over....so sad! We have had so much fun this track-off. I love that the girls are getting older. It makes going places and doing things easier and they have so much fun, I love it! Belleview Park Last summer this was a favorite outing we did a few times. This summer we only visited once, but the girls loved it and enjoyed the animals much more this year. Kaylee kept waving and saying "Hi" to all the animals. She also loves to watch them and study them ever so carefully....every time I had to make her move on to the next one and then finally leave. She is the same way at the zoo and Butterfly Pavilion.
Emma on the other hand, likes the animals but prefers to just look not touch. In this picture she is saying "poopy mommy, icky!"
Practicing their milking techniques
Silo Park We headed to Silo park last week with Kasey and Knox. Above there are some pics posted that Kasey took with a good camera. These are just with my phone....not too bad for a phone I guess.
On this day I got a phone call while at the park that my mom had had a heart attack (mild....for a heart attack...is anything "mild" when it has to do with your heart?!?!?) and had to be air lifted to the hospital in Grand Junction (they are staying in Gunnison). SO---the next morning I took off with my brothers and we headed west. This was the first time I left all three girls over night! The girls did awesome and my mom got discharged on Saturday morning. Which seems crazy to me. They put a stint in her heart and cleared some blocked arteries (I think I got all that right???). The important thing is is that everything seems to be good. Butterfly Pavilion Today we headed to the Butterfly Pavilion with Beka, a friend from church, and her kiddos Mac and Rachael. Rachael is exactly one month younger than Emma so they have been in the same "classroom" at church since day one. Maybe they will one day be great friends. Again pics are with my phone so not the best.
We ended out day at McDonald's. We don't do this too often, but on Wednesdays you get a free Happy Meal with an extra value meal, so I can feed all of us for about $5.50! The girls share the Happy Meal so it is perfect! They were the only kids besides two others in the play area, so we stayed and played for an hour. They had a blast and no big kids to run them over. Here is a not so great pic of Mallory, who got to get down and crawl on the plastic flowers!
That's the end of our break! Now to the world of work and juggling being a mom at the same time! Nine and half week count down has begun!

I got the girls this little Dora couch from a consignment shop. They LOVE it! Especially Emma....she says "Emma watch Dori on Emma's Dori couch" (in her Dora jammies!). She loves Dora right now!
My bestest friend from college visited last week with her new little guy Jackson. He is a cutie! Kaylee enjoyed entertaining him!
Yet another trip to the zoo.....this time with Daddy. We haven't gone with Josh in awhile so it was fun to be able to go with
Since Josh was with us we were able to feed the Lorikeets and ride the carousal (it is just too hard when I am by myself). So the girls loved the birds!
Emma DID NOT want to ride an animal....she was very content to ride here in the peacock seat with Mallory and me.
On the 4th of July I caught Miss Mallory getting into Josh's beer stash in the mud room. She actually got one open....well a little hole somehow and I realized after there was a large puddle of beer that she had crawled all around in!!!
Enjoying time at Nana Pamela's house!
That's all folks....one more day of my break, man that flew by!

This and That

A couple of quick videos from past month.

Happy Birthday USA!

Every year our little neighborhood does their own 4th of July parade. It is quite funny. Most people are in the parade and very few people actually watch it----cause everyone is IN it! We watched it though....so the girls got LOTS of candy! So this parade is filled with tractors, riding lawn mowers, horses, donkeys, classic cars, and people on bikes. It is fun time and it all ends with lemonade and watermelon!
Little Mallory was there also. She was in the Baby Bjorn most of the time....she waved at everyone that went by it was so cute. Not many pics of her since I was the one wearing her...and I am the picture taker!
After the parade we had a little BBQ with Jeremy, Laurie and Hope, Nana Pamela, and some neighbors came by. It was a nice relaxing afternoon with some yummy food. Nana then watched the girls so Josh and I could go and enjoy the fireworks in Parker. What a fun 4th of July!!!!!
