Catch Up Time!

Kaylee had her well baby visit for 4 months.....and didn't cry! (until the shots). She cried ALL through her 2 month check up. Her latest stats: 13lbs. 10.6 oz (45%), 24 in. long (53%), and her head is 16.26 in. (55%)

My brother and his family were in town this past weekend so we spent a lot of time with them. We had a few late nights in a row, but both girls were champs through it all. On Sunday we went to Manitou Springs to the Cave of the Winds. That was fun. My brother got the job of holding Emma through the tour. This is tricky because there are a lot of very narrow passage ways, low ceilings, and steep steps! AND---to top it all off, she fell asleep for the last half so he had to carry her through with her dead asleep. Kaylee enjoyed the tour from the Baby Bjorn and took a short nap also.

It was great seeing my brother and his family, it had been a year! I had to go back to work this week. It's not too bad....but I'd rather be with the girls (though it does give me a break!). Josh has been out of town for about 3 weeks now so I have been a single parent....on top of being pregnant, it's exhausting to say the least! So, school is a bit of a break for me. I'm feeling much less tired now though, I'm sure my break helped with that and the fact that I am through the first trimester.

Kaylee is also sleeping through the night!!!! YAY!!!! (maybe she knows her mom NEEDS sleep!) Sometimes she gets up in the early morning (like 5-6:00ish) but than goes back to sleep. She is such a good sleeper at night. Some nights she will go for 12 1/2 hours! Those nights make me nervous so at about 5:00 in the morning I race in to her room just to see she is snoozing away!

We find out in four weeks what we are having. I have no "feelings" this time at all! (maybe that's because some days I don't even think about being pregnant--too busy!). Some days I call it a boy and other days I call it a girl---we will be happy with whatever. This picture has a funny story with it: I had dropped a little food on the floor so Buster was licking it up, well Emma saw that and decided to do it as well...I stopped her of course! (after I took the the pic :) )

Emma and Kaylee go their first pairs of Carhartt bibs last week....don't they look cute? Now they can match their daddy.

Four Months Old!

Kaylee bug is four months old today! She is growing and becoming so active now. She loves to talk and put things in her mouth. She loves to watch her big sister and the dogs. It is hard to even imagine what life was like before Kaylee was a part of our family.....and it was only 4 months ago! Next week we go to the Dr. to see how much she has grown. Happy 4 months Kaylee!

Lots of Pictures

We have been having lots of fun around here. I'm just going to get onto some pictures.....

Emma has been loving being outside the past couple of weeks. Even if the weather isn't super warm.This is Kaylee's warm outfit for going outside. She enjoyed the view from the Baby Bjorn. Playing outside....already....right after breakfast. Emma is still in her pjs! We met Conner and Kelli at a park not too far from either of our house. It was such a beautiful day to get outside. Emma loved the swings. I think partly because there was a little girl right next to her. Every time we would get off the swing she would go right back over there and just stare at her. What a cutie! Catch me Emma! After the park Emma could barely keep her head up for some lunch. She is resting on her Winnie while she tries to eat (nap time was right after this!). More playing. Kaylee is getting so good at grabbing her toys and being able to play by herself for short bits of time....until Emma comes over and either steals her toys or disturbs her! A bit chilly for Kaylee so she stayed in and played in the Exosaucer. Our basement is a walk-out so it is perfect for me to watch Emma and go check on her and still have Kaylee inside. Playing in the backyard. Notice Emma's Winnie, who apparently loves to play outside as well! Our day still isn't done......now we are coloring! I love this one of her! This was the other morning before Emma was awake and Kaylee and I had some good one-on-one time together. Isn't she the happiest and cutest baby?!?!?! She loves putting EVERYTHING in her mouth, and she is quite the drooler as well! I got the jumpy-play thingy back out for Kaylee. She has blankets stuffed around her to help her, but she loves it. We met Susan and Jack at the mall to play and have lunch. We had a great time catching up. Haven't seen them since December! Look Kaylee was there! In the rocket together...this was the best pic I could get, Emma would NOT look at me. So cute, patiently waiting. Yummy! This was Kaylee during lunch! So after several days of noticing that every time I put on Emma's tennis shoes she would try and try to take them off and her constantly tripping....I realized OH! maybe her shoes are too small...duh! So we went on got a new pair. She LOVES them (she likes all shoes....and is constantly trying to put them on...ones that are too small, mine, Josh's...). So, this is after we got home from the shoe store. Showing them to me...look how happy she is! Close-up of the shoes!

Talking Kaylee

Kaylee has been a "talker" since day one! Here is a little bit of her....sometimes it sounds like she is about to get mad, but that's just her big voice. Enjoy listening!

Just a couple of pics. We've just been hanging around the house this week.....and my first week off is almost over! YIKES! Here I was trying to get a good picture of the two of them, don't know if that will EVER happen!

Exciting News!

Emma and Kaylee will be big sisters in September! All I can say is that God works in mysterious ways! This time....no "trying", no drugs, no hormones, no acupuncture, no problems.....a COMPLETE surprise! But...a surprise that I am very happy about (don't get me wrong I was freaking out a little when I first found out!). So, I am about 12 1/2 weeks right now and things are looking great, so now I feel comfortable with having EVERYONE know. Here is our little bean...maybe a boy??? We could use a little more blue around the house! He was moving around A LOT during the ultrasound, that is always fun to see. This was the best shot that she got.

Happy Track Off!!!

So I am off-track now for 3 weeks! Yay! Three weeks home with my girls and no getting up and ready and out the door by 6:45! I am so ready for a break and to be home for a bit with Emma and Kaylee, I miss them so much during the day.

Things have been crazy but here are a few quick pics.

Tonight Emma just could not make it through dinner! This was at about 5:15 and she slept until the morning! This is one of Emma's favorite things lately....looking out the window at cars and the dogs.
