So I was just looking at the date of my last post...and it has been awhile! I must be back at work!

Lately life has just been so crazy. I know that it seems like everyone's lives are hectic and stressful....but it is my blog so I get to vent on here right?!?!?!? Going back to work this time has been tough...maybe because the winter break is so long, I don't know. OR maybe because the more and more the girls do and the older they get, it just gets more fun....because they can do more and LOVE everything we do!

Work lately has been kind-of a bummer. I have a wonderful class who have great parents...it is just all the other crap (excuse my word...) that I (along with all other teachers have to deal with). I hate that it is "those" things that are affecting my job every day. I guess our school won some award from the governor and Jen (my principal) let us know at the end of a staff meeting by saying "I have no idea why WE won this...or what it is...but I am going on Monday night to accept it if anyone wants to join me." Mind you....this was at the end of our faculty meeting where she didn't seem to pleased with us. I know she is under her own pressures, but I know that we are all doing a great job with what we have and most of us are going beyond what is expected. To build moral you'd think she would have opened up the meeting congratulating us as a school for winning this award. I just go and do my thing with my second graders and try not to listen to the gossip or be involved in all the other stuff. I am there for my students first and foremost!

Enough of that....Thanks for reading...if you didn't just scroll down to start looking at my cute girls! Lately I feel like the girls are learning so many new things and just doing so much! Here is the latest on each of them!

Mallory

-Is talking sooooo much! The other day we were watching Dora and she was repeating everything! Of course it is still "baby-talk" but she has the inflections and a lot of the sounds. I can understand, but maybe others can't. All I know is that this is beginning to be one loud house!

-She LOVES to dance! I love to watch her. She has such great rhythm. She sways and swings her hips to the beat of the music.

-Is finally able to sit and listen to 2-3 books and sing songs with me before bed. Before she would always want to get up. Now I tell her it is night-night time and she walks to the "brown chair" in Emma's room (this is where we read and rock and sing).

-She has gotten 5 new teeth in the past 2 months. I think all her issues with her ears slowed the process down because ever since her tubes they seem to be just popping out! -She has a mind of her own and is so independent. She is always happy and just content...with everything!

Kaylee

-She is our DRAMA QUEEN! She is so dramatic about everything and has the cries and tears to go with it! Love her...but this might send me over the edge!

-She is finally growing hair that I can do something with. She has had piggy-tails and braids...and she has the best curly hair!

-Is about 90% potty trained! She does a great job at school finally and is wearing big-girl panties more and more there. Here at home she does great (she has her big sis to help her!).

-Is learning her ABCs. Can't do all of them in the right order...but she will try and will repeat them.

-She can count as well...again not consistent...but will repeat them with me.

-Will sit and play or work on coloring or other art project for a LONG time. She is so focused and will stay at the same task for 20 minutes or more

-Is a VERY stubborn girl who wants it done HER way! Her teacher was saying this to me to and I just had to laugh!

Emma

-Emma just LOVES school and "Ms Cheri"! She is learning sooooo much! She doesn't perform half the time, but can count 1-12 and do most of her ABCs in the right order and will tell me about what they are learning about (right now it is her teeth and how to take care of them).

-She tells me first thing if she had to sit in "time-out" and why.

-She has an amazing memory. I will have talked to her about something one time and a few days or weeks later she will start talking about it again.

-Emma is a great big sister who is always looking out for her sisters. She will make sure they have snacks or drinks before she gets one...so sweet!

-She is an EARLY riser....6:00 lately! I have tried everything to get her to sleep in....nothing works...I guess that is just her time! It use to be 7:00 and then day-light savings happened and it turned to 6:00 so we will see when we do our clocks again if it changes? She does go to bed early though...usually by 7:00 she is in bed with lights out!

-I have to sit with her....but Emma has finally started to do puzzles and we play Candyland together.

As far as all of them---I have to toot their horns a bit here. The other day I was dropping them off at daycare and getting Kaylee and Mallory settled when one of the teachers said "I just have to tell you that Kaylee is one of my favorites...actually IS my favorite." Then the other teacher right by her said, "Well I think that all your girls are teachers favorites here" "They are all so nice, cute, and kind." and then the other teacher said, "yea I guess you are right about that". Even though the girls have their main teachers in their rooms all the helpers and teachers know all the kiddos because they help to relieve each other for breaks and lunch and stuff...so they all know the girls. This made my heart feel so warm to know that others feel this way about my girls!!! And maybe they say this to everyone, but as a teacher I know only say these things to parents when I truly mean them, so I would like to believe the same is true for them. Either way...I don't care...as a parent that is what you hope to hear from the people who spend time with your kiddos!

WOW...all the writing! On to pics.

First up is Kaylee....she decided to put stickers on her leg. Notice the nice line from ankle to thigh, and she spent FOREVER doing this! Look at the concentration!

Bath time is always fun. I will have to say though...the bathtub seems a bit small lately with all three little ladies in it! Mallory played so hard she fell asleep during lunch. I think it is so funny when they do this!
These red cups kept her busy forever!!!
Daddy's shoes. I think I have a picture of the other two girls playing with these same shoes!
