Last few days off...

A few pics from my last few days off. We started this day (I think it was Friday...like a week ago Friday) off with a coffee and a haircut, for Josh and me, it was time! Then Josh got a massage and Emma and I walked around Southlands and did a few errands while we waited. It was so nice this day, hard to believe it would be snowing just a few days later!
After the massage we headed to On the Border for some yummy lunch. Emma was in such a great mood we stayed for awhile and actually enjoyed our meal and Margarita! We didn't have to eat and rush out, that was nice.
A few days later the cold, yucky weather came! I really don't mind the cold, but I just wasn't quite ready. I tried to take a picture of the snow, but it doesn't really show up that well.
Emma cooped up inside trying to stay busy! I like her "Fall" outfit here, fitting for the weather I thought!

That's about it for us. I am back to work....yuck! Until next time!

Only 1 More Day Left!

After today I only have 1 more day of track-off left! I know I shouldn't be complaining, but I love being at home with Miss Emma, I hate to be at work all day and missing the "day to day" stuff. What are you going to do?
Anyway....enough of that. Saturday we did our Gymboree class with Daddy. Since Josh was home I had him participate with Emma. She had a blast...though towards the end she was definitely ready for a nap! She is a mover! We tried a music class also, though she loved that as well.....the class where she can move is definitely more up her alley (and there are songs in that class also, so the best of both).
Emma loves her books, though lately---mostly just to chew on! So usually I try to give her one to chew on and then we read one.
Hmmmmm....what book should I choose?
This looks good!

9 Months Old!

Our little Emma Bean is 9 months old today! I think I say this every month.....but I can't believe it! The many things that happen in the first year. Here are some of her 9 month photos, courtesy of Kathy Daly http://www.kdaly.smugmug.com/ ....again! She takes great pics, Emma didn't stop moving once while we were at her house and she got some great pictures. I highly recommend her if you have kiddos and need family pictures done! Thanks again Kathy, we love you!

On Saturday Emma and went with Kelli and Conner to go and visit Kristin, who has just had her third baby, Autumn. Isn't she a cutie? And look at all that hair. Thanks for having us, it was fun visiting!
The last few days we've spent around the house mostly. Emma is on the move. She loves to climb under things, as you can see below. We also did a Gymboree class on Monday, she loved that. We are signed up for a Saturday class, but since we are off-track we went during the week, so there were only three kiddos. So I got to meet a two mommies (and a daddy).
She loves to bounce! This is the new "place" she hangs out when mommy is trying to take a quick shower! I hang it in the bathroom door.

Splish Splash!

Who doesn't love kiddos in the bath ?!?! Below are some recent pics of bathtime as well as a quick video.
It's already Friday of my first week off....YIKES that means only two weeks left! I guess I shouldn't be counting down already, but man times flies when I'm not working! This week we have been pretty busy. I have caught up on laundry, cleaning, making baby food, and putting outgrown clothes away and replacing them with the next batch. We have had some fun as well though. On Sunday, after church we headed up North to see our friends Susan, Matt, and Jack. We hadn't seen Jack in a couple of months so it was fun to see how big he's gotten and boy does he have a head full of hair! He is so cute! We had a wonderful lunch and a great time visiting.
After a busy morning playing and a nice, relaxing walk!
(she stayed asleep like that for almost 2 hours!)
We went to Little Monkey Business on Wednesday with my friend Casey and her little ones. Abby is only 6 weeks younger than Emma...but I forgot my camera that day! Emma had fun though and wore herself out. We will definitely be going back. On Thursday morning we went and saw my other friend Kasey, who nannies for triplets. The triplets are a little younger than Emma, I know they were born in November sometime. Again....forgot to take any pics. Kasey had hers though so maybe I can get pics from her later.
Emma loves these new little balls she has from a toy we picked up from a garage sale, she will play with them for hours (well OK like 15 min--but hours to an 8 month old!)
Having some cantaloupe
Also this week we tried out a babysitter (that isn't family) for the first time. I put an ad on Care.com to find someone (FYI--this is a great site, people are screened and have background checks and references!). So, Tuesday we met Leigh Ann and I ran to Walmart (I was only gone for an hour!), just to see how it would go. Emma did fine (didn't go to bed...but that didn't surprise me!). On Thursday I started a women's Bible study so I had Josh's sister Anna come over. Again, bedtime was a bit rough, but Anna got Emma to sleep by 8:00. Emma needs to learn that it is OK to go to sleep without her mommy! This morning we met Amber. She is super sweet and Emma loved her as well! So, I have two babysitters (and of course family)! And they live out here in this area! YEA! This makes being a "single mom" much easier.
Today we are going to Scott's and Maile's house to celebrate Scott's 40th birthday! WOW who knew I could have a brother who is 40?!?!? (that means I will be 32 in a few months, yikes!)
That about wraps things up for now, until next time!

Track Off!!!!....and other exciting stuff!

YEA!!! I am off track for 3 weeks! Hard to believe I have already been back to school for 9 weeks. Can't wait to spend 3 weeks home with my little Emma Bean! I have missed being at home with her every day! I'll probably have a few more posts than normal now that I will have the time again...we'll see, we might be having too much fun!
To start things off.....Emma has discovered our dog door and how to use it! Though she has yet to go through it.....but every kid that has visited our house has gone through it so it is just a matter of time! Look at her smiling here like "what's wrong mom?"
Oh No! I've been caught! So this morning (Saturday) we decided to go to the mall and play on the soft bugs and animals and such. Emma enjoyed herself and Josh stayed with her while I hit up a couple of stores. Her dress got in the way of crawling so we had to tuck it into her bloomers!
After that, before heading home, we stopped by Nana Pamela's house for a quick visit.
Then back at home playing...isn't she a cutie?!?! Thanks for the cute dress Kristin, we love it!
